HERPA DELTA 727-100 1/500 (**)

Great vintage model that I'm pleased to add to our collection. This 727-195 was originally purchased by NE but all of them, along with NE's 727-295s (which NE was the launch customer for) were quickly painted up in DL colors after they acquired NE in 1972. DL didn't directly purchase 727s from Boeing until 1972, and then only for the 232 version. These allowed DL to transition their kerosene-guzzling CV-880s. I sure missed the NE 'Yellow Birds' after the merger, but DL soon became a regular presence at BOS.

My son is in love with his airplanes. He takes them everywhere with us.
