Preaching the Gospel to Yourself

No Bible Study format!

Honest review here to help others looking at this study. . I was quite disappointed. This is not a Bible study as the other studies I have done. It is a reading book, with a few thought provoking questions at the end of each chapter. This used to be an actual study, and many of the reviews were so good from that study. They recently changed this to a reading book, and a few end chapter questions. I would not have purchased it had I known the new format. The content is good, but it’s a reading book, not a study that digs into The Word.

Excellent book

Such a helpful book! In the very beginning we learn that "We preach the gospel to ourselves by seeing everything through the lens of the person and work of Christ."Topics include: The Gospel and work, free time, parenting, social media, the local church, decisions, finance, suffering, and so on. Practically written, BEAUTIFULLY illustrated. LOVE IT!

Timely and Encouraging

I’m not all the way finished, but it has been a great reiteration of the Good News. It gives explanations and encouragement without judgement and reminds that the Gospel didn’t just save us, it sanctifies us daily.
