Andy Series Digital Sewing Pattern

Enjoyed making this one. My first time making pants and it went smoother than expected. I’m neurodivergent and the directions weren’t always clear to me, so I docked a star. Other than that, things were clear in other areas. I added some length since I’m over 5’8. The wearable toile I made in speckled calico was a good choice. Will try linen next and add a bit to the crotch since I’ve got juicy thighs and booty. It took me about 5-8 hours to sew as a beginner. 10/10 recommend.

An absolute delight

Deceptively simple, the Andy Trousers come together quickly. The instructions are clear enough for a confident beginner but the drafting and design details are satisfying enough to keep a more experienced sewist engaged. Such a fun and satisfying project.

The pattern is very well designed, although I found the pockets a bit confusing. (that may be a me problem and not a pattern problem. I did end up tapering more, but I find most pants are not tapered enough for my liking...I do sometimes wonder if this shoes up more in larger sizes (I'm an 18). I made the Toile, I made the modifications, and the pants fit better than any I've made before. Will make another pair for fall.
