Yes the cage is sturdy and chew proof but it is way too heavy and bulky. Everytime I have to load and unload the cage from my car i absolutely dread it.

The travel cage is nice and sturdy. I purchased so I could use it to transport my sugar gliders to vet appointment. It is a little on heavy side but I will adapt.
