First of all, with the heat, I decided to add 2 ice packets to the mealworms, shipping to colorado from Virginia. First I ordered on Monday. My order was delayed for some reason at exotic nutrition, I called and inquired and was told it had shipped on Tuesday. It did not. As I checked with FedEx after checking with the shipper. I called back on Wednesday. It still hadn't shipped (!) but... I was assured it would be sent out that day I'm not sure how good the ice packs were at this point. But the worms weren't great. The previous order I ordered two of these ice packs with two day FedEx. And all of my worms, every single one of the four thousand were dead. The ice probably melts within an hour. The ice packs are so small to top it off. When my order finally arrived Friday. After 2 day FedEx order on Monday. Of course, the ice packs did nothing for the worms, (which had a smell). And were already starting two decay. I would save your money and hope for the best. With the fastest shipping possible, if it gets done on time. When I finally received the package and opened it. An order of 5000 worms only about maybe 4000 were contained in the screen type bag, which many had crawled out of and were all over the box. Probably a 1000 loose worms, in fact, the worms had gotten into one of the ice packs, and it was open and torn open by the worms who were trying to eat or something with it. There were worms in it! I had to throw those worms away for fear of them being toxic to whatever. All in all. It was a waste for me those tiny thin ice packs. If you get anything. Go with fast shipping if its not. 2 day for me still doesnt cut it. Its a gamble. Good luck.

Most of the mealworms were dead.

Most of the mealworms that I received were either dead or in a different form. The ice pack did not really help. My fault because I thought they were coming quicker than they did.
