I am not a professional splicer by any stretch of the imagination. I have, however, been splicing ropes for many years as needed for my personal use. It was when learning to splice braided line that I turned to a Marlow video that I learned about splicing tape. I found it a must for braided line and also that it made a huge difference when splicing nylon twisted rope. My first roll of this tape has lasted many years but I saw this advertisement and immediately ordered a replacement roll. The first roll cost a lot with shipping from Europe. This roll is a bargain. I wouldn’t consider doing any splicing these days without having this special tape available. It really makes this work a lot easier.
