Improving work, exercise and daily life!

I saw a friend running with a pair of Shokz (Aftershokz) headphones years ago. They seemed to fit all of my needs; lightweight, wireless, head-supported, and nothing inserted into the ears and blocking out sounds. I love that I can run and exercise safely while still enjoying my music/podcasts/ books, etc. I also love that I can work with these on and still put in safety earplugs when necessary and still hear everything clearly. Since then, I have owned a few pairs myself, purchased Shokz for others and recommended them for many friends and family and others.

I like the ability to hear what's going on around me. I was carrying my phone in my hand listening to my music, and mapping my walk. But now, I can pocket the phone on my walk. I downloaded the Shokz app, and played with the EQ settings, but I didn't find a setting to boost the bass. But its OK. Lightweight and functions the way I hoped it would. Great right

I bicycle commute in Texas, so I needed something sweat-proof to replace my old Plantronics Backbeat Fit headsets (I bought 4 from Costco, but eventually wore them all out). After exhaustive analysis, I decided on the new OpenRun Air 2. I did not want "buds", because they would fall out during my high activity. I also didn't want in-ear system, because I want to hear my surroundings (road noise, wife/kids conversation). The battery life is GREAT. I've never had bone-conducting before, but the sound is decent. If you're flying on bike, or in a wind storm, you might miss some of your podcast .. but if you're listening to tunes, you'll be fine. I wish the "mute" was easier to toggle on/off AND had "verbal" feedback ("mute on" / "mute off"), like my old Backbeat. I turned off multipoint, because it was unreliable - so now I have to manually disconnect from one device to switch to another. Backbeat handled switching better. Son loves his .. was losing AirPods in attic insulation. I got the mini, because I wanted it follow the contour of the head/neck. Appreciate that this can accept firmware updates, in case Shokz implements any improvements. With my iPhone, I wish it would give a beep when you switch into dictation mode, and not tell me to unlock my phone when I tell Siri to call someone (happens 50% of the time)
