Fantastic pedestal mount

I had this pedestal installed for my home charger and it is stylish and functional. Absolutely love it!

EV pedestal installation

Firstly i have to say that it was so nice to have the bolts for the concrete pour included with the product. The interior of the pedestal is very well designed with channels to tuck the wiring into to avoid risking anything getting knicked while affixing the cover. It feels like everything was thought of and they deliver with an exceptional product. Will definitely be using this for my next job!

Beautiful pedestal — Overly difficult installation

I ordered this and it was shipped and delivered relatively promptly via UPS from Canada. It was very well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. Although my use case was somewhat unusual, in hindsight, the installation could have been easier. The package included three 3/8” J-bolts and the other required hardware. Unfortunately they do not include a proper template so we had to create our own. This made it necessary to wet set the template with the J-bolts pre-installed which resulted in two problems 1) a very poor top concrete surface (since it was under the template we couldn’t properly trowel it), 2) since the holes in the pedestal were also 3/8”, there was zero margin for error and, of course, our bolts moved slightly. Thankfully the pedestal is aluminum, so we were able to drill out the holes to accommodate the bolts. If we had it to do over again, we would have simply junked the included bolts, poured the concrete with only the conduit in place, then used the pedestal itself as a template to mark out and install expansion bolts. The finished product is beautiful, strong, and functional. I highly recommend it, but hopefully the manufacturer improves the installation hardware and includes a template for future buyers. Also, all of the email correspondence I received from them was in French, glad they included instructions in English as well :) Mercí beaucoup!
