My first pair of mallets and man do they sound nice on the cymbals. Gives you a slightly smoother attack and just kinda soften everything ever so slightly. Cymbal swells sound amazing. While it is a softer material, they are still pretty firm to give you a good sound. Minor complaint is they leave a little white powder/dust like residue after striking. I imagine this will go away with time when I use them more, but it's no biggie because it wipes up easily.
