Fun construction.
I tried this pattern out on some leftover flannel in my stash, which is not the most likely fabric choice. But it made a comfy shirt that will be great for early fall. Now I will make it in linen as a dress, having worked out the trickier parts of the construction. If I make it again as a shirt, I will probably lengthen it by about four inches. Or I might make it in denim with buttonhole twist top stitching.

Unique shirt that sews up beautifully
Loved sewing this and the result. We’re approaching summer in Australia and I wanted an airy shirt that doesn’t cling to me - so this is perfect. But it’s the shirt details I love the most. My first DJ pattern and can attest instructions are unambiguous and easy to follow . I also learnt new construction techniques that produce better results than what I’ve been doing to date.

Chic and unique!
I love making and wearing shirts and am drawn to comfy styles with unique and clever details and the Bonnet delivers on all points. It’s well drafted and the instructions are clear and concise, just like all Daughter Judy patterns. I’m already planning my next Bonnet!
