Amazing eye pillow -- but don't wash!

I love this eye pillow tremendously. It's the perfect weight, texture, size, and smell. However, the details said that it could be washed, so I put it in on the gentle cycle, cold, and tumble dried low. The flax inside expanded and it's now stiff as a board. Nevertheless, I love it so much that I intend to purchase another one and only spot clean / spray disinfect from now on.
