I came across Jesse's hat throwing ad from Solid Leather on Facebook and reached out to see if I could come in and try the belts before buying. He shared the location and mentioned it was more of a workshop and accessed through an alley - which made for a funny conversation at home about “meeting a guy in an alley to buy leather goods.” Turned out to be a great decision. When I got there, the belts looked even better in person. Jesse took the time to measure me properly and set one up on the spot. I picked up a black casual belt right away. I liked it so much that I ended up ordering two more formal belts online shortly after. He mentioned they’d ship the following week, but they actually went out earlier and arrived the next day once shipped. All three belts look great and feel solid - you can tell they’re built to last, unlike the thinner ones you get from places like Amazon or Walmart or Winners/Marshalls.
