SmartShade (Wire-free)

to be honest, I didn’t want to give it three star, but I didn’t think it warranted four stars either two reasons for four stars versus five. 1 it’s a little larger than I expected it to be and 2 the only way to have control over the unit with schedules is to buy a hub. I have other home devices that have schedules built into the app so I’m not really sure why a hub is needed in order to have schedules. Having said this, I would buy it again. It’s too early to tell what the battery life is with respect to moving the shade up and down.

I just yesterday installed my SmartShade. It took a couple of attempts to install the bracket ensuring the chain was taut enough. The lifting of the blind goes smoothly, but it stutters on the descent. Don't know if this is normal.

I have a 10 ft tall balcony window in my bedroom and used ryse to set it up so the curtain opens every morning around 7. We are not morning people and this add-on to our room has become essential.
