Yikes - harsh chemical smell.
Yikes. I know that everyone has a different sense of smell, but I’m a bit surprised at the popularity of this one. Having now bought two candles with the “leather” scent, I’ll know that this is not one for me. Oxford is more offensive than Bookstore, but I’ll be throwing both candles away. Specifically, the scent is that of a sharp, chemical, fake-plastic-leather right out of a factor bag. Intense and anxiety inducing. I can catch a whiff of a freshly manufactured leather bag (like Coach) but with a plasticy edge that makes it feel more like the leather section of a cheap tourist trap store than a saddle shop.
I’ll note that it’s not the candle base, as I’ve had others (watsons study) which were absolutely wonderful; this one simply misses the mark.

Nope
This was one of two candles in my first purchase from Frostbeard. The scent was meh. More importantly, the scent was very weak. I know their return policy, but asked to send it back and have a replacement difference scent replace it, and they politely declined. Communication was terrific though. Based on this scent, the other scent, and the experience, Frostbeard is not for me. There are other candle manufacturers that I much prefer. :/
