Not at First
I have to admit that it was not love at first sniff. In fairness to you, I broke my habit and used a soap two days in a row. It was on the second day that I fell in love. This has happened a few times with Barrister and Mann products that the second use changed my opinion. Anyway, I'm glad I gave it another chance, because I absolutely love the fragrance now.

This is a terrific soap and splash set. The lather was cushioning and protective. I will be trying other of their soaps. It was a great experience doing business with Heritage Hill Shave Company. Shipping was fast and Customer Service was above reproach. I highly recommend the company and their products.

I really want to like this soap. The smell is nice and the ingredients are good but the lathering ability needs improvement. To be frank, trying to build a lather with this soap is tedious. If you have used Chiseled Face soaps then you already know what Im talking about. It is extremely sensitive to water. The best way Ive found to build a lather with this soap is to bloom the soap and soak your brush like normal. However you MUST shake ALL of the water out of your brush like when you go to store it after shaving. Then build lather like normal and add water as needed. Be very mindful of how much water you are adding. Ive taken to using a syringe. It is very difficult to build enough lather for two passes without adding too much water and just having useless suds. It shouldnt take ten minutes to get two passes worth let alone a usable lather. It should take no more than two-three minutes. Not a beginner friendly soap.
