Lots of good points in the new bumper, but it was work to get it installed.
The pictures in the instructions are hard to tell what they relate to. There are much better instructions on You Tube to consult. But in the end, it was a 5 hour project with only one real work around ... the new bumper is much thicker metal than the old one ... that's a good thing. The work around was for the retaining ring used on the spare tire access hole. The ears to hold it against the bumper will not grab the new piece ... and it's spring steel so you can't bend then in a manner that will work. (So epoxy it in place). One point that maybe could get improved is the mounting brackets. The old bumper had welded nuts on the bracket. The new bumper uses nuts and bolts. So you mount the bracket and guess where it should be. Because once the bumper is mounted, the access to the bracket bolts is now behind the bumper and not accessible.
