Im a union worker as well a rock climber, guide and instructor. Its very important to me to support US based businesses that employ US workers . In an attempt to keep money in country and ensure that i contribute to local economies in this global market , i will only wear misty harnesses. Rant over. As far as the harness, i love it. As a vintage human approaching 50yo, i require more padding and comfort in order to spend the whole day at the cliff or on a mountain. I have always been keen on misty harnesses because of the 6 gear loops. As a traditional leader, i have never had a moment racking up for a big multi-pitch climb where everything i needed didn’t fit well on my misty. With this particular harness( this being my 3rd misty)i was able to customize my order with a 7th gear loop in the rear and 2x belay loop( which i wanted for added redundancy and durability). Another reason i enjoy dealing with misty is the ease of communication. During the time i ordered my harness, i was notified there would be a delay in manufacture and shipping because of a local mini-disaster, a recent flood blew out a critical bridge allowing workers to get to the shop. I was notified there would be a delay, which is totally fine. I emailed a query a few weeks later for an update. in turn i received a prompt response via email whereby i was advised of a potential ship date( which was accurate btw)We dont fight with mother nature, our arms aren’t long enough to fight back. Thats what the mountains have taught me, most of that tutelage i was wearing a cadillac .

Awesome harness

Upgraded to a Cadillac after using a Corax. The Cadillac is indeed one of the most comfortable harnesses I’ve ever sat in. I can sit in this harness for a very long time before I start to get uncomfortable.

Amazing harness! After gaining a lot of weight from a stomach surgery, I found it very hard to find a harness that extends past 38 inches either online or in stores. After extensive research I happened upon Misty Mountain and this harness. I was not disappointed. Comfy and safe, with large padded waist and leg straps and the quick adjust buckles helps with quick on and off. I could literally sit in the harness for hours on a wall. I will definitely be buying all future harnesses from Misty Mountain.
