Having trouble putting together because makes a grinding noise and can’t believe pedals sit back so far

The bike was easy to assemble. The paper Manual included in the box was for an earlier version of the bike and contained.Many instruction panels that were either completed or not.Quite true to the bike version that I had. The bike as it came was easy to assemble and straightforward. It would be helpful if there were 1 or 2 extra nuts or screws included having to remove them from the frame. Call some pieces to be lost during assembly. Additionally, the fenders for the rear wheels. The tabs on the frame had become bent in during transport and needed to be readjusted. So the fenders would align correctly over the tires. The battery was about 54% charged. The bike seems to perform very well. I like the new throttle control. The key gears are easy to shift through top speed of about nineteen miles per hour is plenty for suburban streets and the large cargo capacity adds versatility to the bike overall.I'm quite pleased with my purchase.
