Hultafors Spare Handle

I have Dupuytrens Contracture affecting both hands, also known as Viking fingers. The narrowness and curvature of Hultafors axe shaft gives me better handling, control and force than standard replacement handles available off the shelf at the large hardware stores.

I use a mixture of linseed oil and kerosene to protect tool handles. The pre-cut wooden wedge is great as I can soak them and the split prior to setting the axe head and shaft.
