The Colt - Midnight Smooth Ostrich

Great fit right out of the box

I purchased the Colt in Midnight Black and Cognac. These were my first boots from JK and what an intro! First, they fit so comfortably right out of the box. They continue to wear comfortably well, with no real break in needed, no pressure or rubbing points during the initial times wearing them. Second, they get lots of compliments with folks telling me my boot game is elevated. Third, they are rugged and the work boot history of JK is evident. Fourth, and one of the primary drivers for their purchase, they have a great rubber sole with a grippy tread pattern for those who live in urban places, like NYC, where we have subway and some street surfaces that can become slick in the rain and with snow runoff, where leather soles would be risky and slippery to wear. These boots look great, wear great, and are comfortable and safe to wear in urban and any environments.

Snug fitting

The boots are terrific and beautifully made. However, they are very difficult to get on! Once on, they fit great but they are definitely going to take some time to get loosened up enough to go on easily.
