Sandown Winter Race Exercise Boots

Good waterproof boots, the only option!

For my son -a point to point jockey. He rides work 6 mornings a week and schools several afternoons a week. We are in the South West and have very wet winters. These are the only boots that will do the job. Leather ones disintegrate far too quickly as well as letting in the wet. With this level of wear we expect to buy at least a pair a season I’m afraid so it’s not cheap, but necessary. It’s also helpful that you do big sizes as he has huge feet for a jockey….size 11. My one criticism is the zips. They are not nearly tough enough. They often break and although Tuffa are good and will replace the first breakage, the next pair will be the same and I don’t feel able to ask a second time! We end up repairing the next lot ourselves at a cost of £40. Tougher zips please Tuffa! If you did that they’d be 100% 5 star boots. I dropped one star for the zips.
