Nice upgrade to the Almighty Paj

I decided to give a new life to my Pajero’s air intake system and invested in the BGT 4x4 stage two intercooler plus silicone hoses. I am not too experienced with mechanical works, but do a fair bit of DIY, so after watching a few YouTube videos, I decided to take on the swap myself. It took me a good five hours, including the fixing of a broken fan shroud clip (oops..) and replenishing the lost coolant from the disconnected radiator hose with a system bleed. The trickiest part was the removal and replacement of the bottom fan shroud attachment, but I took my time and got there finally. Test drove the car and everything is running super smooth. Having the upgraded system gives me some piece of mind when doing heavy 4wd work.

Fantastic upgrade

Great upgrade. Just towed my 2.5 ton van from Victoria to Queensland with the new intercooler in my NT Pagero. Definitely noticed the difference going up hills. Only negative is that my mechanic said he had to modify a bracket to fit it onto place; there is no mention of this in the website. Still he said it was pretty straight forward. Worth the investment.
