Waiting for Me

I was folding laundry upstairs when I realized my dog had followed me without me even noticing. That might sound ordinary, but it hadn't happened in a long time. He usually stayed wherever he was instead of making extra trips around the house. Seeing him quietly waiting outside the bedroom door made me smile. It felt like I had my little shadow back.

Standing still
