Skipper Dress and Top

Excellent pattern with a bit less volume than other gathered dresses. Very clever make. I have made a top from lawn and a dress from double gauze.

Great pattern with lots of possibilities

I made the top using a mixture of leftover fabrics in my stash. There are lots of possibilities for mixing and matching patterns. I’ll definitely be making more.

I made some adjustments

This was a very quick and easy project. I did not like the shape of it on me however, and so I graded the underarm and took in a little at the waist, and that improved the shape on my particular body. I added a hem facing which I think helps the dress hang better overall and was very easy to do.
