Shelly 1 Gen 3

Fantastic local control upgrade for garage doors!

Swapped out a cloud-dependent garage controller for the Shelly 1 Gen 3 on a Steel-Line SD800 motor, and the difference is night and day. Powered it directly off the motor's +24VDC terminals for a clean, safe low-voltage setup with local static IP control. The local response time is virtually instantaneous. ​My only small feature request would be the ability to password-protect just the action button/trigger rather than the entire web dashboard, but other than that, it's an absolute gem of a device!

Great device for smart home automation with low voltage or mains, easy to setup up, faultless integration into Home Assistant. Deleliverd in good time and good condition. Will buy again

Shelly 1 Gen 3 is good

My purpose of this was to control an aircon controller. To turn on and off depending on a 24V AC signal being pulled to ground, while powering the shelly with 240V. It works fine, but the Shelly output is normally open (NO), but in my case it should be normally closed (NC). Maybe I need a Gen 4 to be able to reverse the output.
