Quadratic MC-1 Moving Coil Transformer

Love this. It’s the third SUT I’ve tried, including one that’s 2x the cost and one that’s 1/2 the cost, and this is my favorite by a mile. Like the others, it helps surface noise vanish, and it provides a refined, clean top end. Unlike the others, it does not squash the dynamics of snare drums and other instruments, and preserves most/all the bass power and richness on a record. It matches well with my Lyra Etna Lambda SL, my Linn Kandid, and my Dynavector DRT XV-1s. It’s not as immune to hum as my Aurorasound AFE-12, but way more immune than the much more expensive Zesto I’ve tried.
