Thomastik-Infeld SB113 Spectrum Bronze 13-57 Acoustic Guitar Strings

I have heard a lot about Thomastiks having superior tone, so was keen to give these a try even though they are quite a bit more expensive than my usual strings of choice. However, the weird orange wrap on the wound strings (that flakes everywhere) makes the strings too thick to fit through a standard Gotoh machine head, and even the D and G strings were virtually unable to fit through the holes on a pinless bridge. Ended up having to abandon this set and put on a D’Addario set I had kept as spares. Not worth it.
