I live out in the country and ever since I got my nvg 30 I've been able to see my entire backyard clearly and now the daylight doesn't dictate when I'm out, all without any actual white light so it works as advertised for sure

Hits above its weight class

Really impressed with the performance! Does really well in low light. When it’s pitch black or very little ambient light you will need the supplemental ir. I think it’s a very cost effective option to for the average guy to get into night vision. Are there better options out there? Sure. And if you have the funds to spend on them more power to you. But for someone who wants a high quality piece of kit that doesn’t break the bank I definitely recommend it. I’m not planning on doing any high speed door kicking or suddenly deciding to become an operator this late in life so for having fun at the range, walking around the neighborhood with my family and looking at stars it’s perfect!
