First let me say that I absolutely and unequivocally LOVE 18 Vanilla Nera perfume. It is ranked as one of my top 3 out of approximately 250 fragrances I own. Because of this I was so excited to order the candle so that my home could smell of spicy, decadent, sexy, vanilla! After lighting the candle i got the overpowering scent of wax and slight spicy vanilla, but mostly wax. Unfortunately I was hoping for so much more. I still love the LEDDA brand and own every fragrance so far.

Okay, okay maybe I’m biased. I love all of the current LEDDA fragrances, but I’m emotionally devoted to 18 Vanilla Nera. (Joking. Or am I?) At launch, I bought both the 22 Orris and 18 Vanilla Nera candles. I honestly expected to like the 22 Orris candle better (I’d been waiting and hoping they would come out with this fragrance in a candle!), but for me, it’s 18 Vanilla Nera for the win ::claps:: I’m especially going to love burning this candle as we get into fall and winter. It’s summer right now and as soon as I lit this candle, I was transported to Christmas and wintertime. Don’t let the “vanilla” in the name throw you off. This is not a children’s sweet gourmand vanilla. She’s spicy and complex and if she were a person, she would be passionate and ferocious. 18 Vanilla Nera is a hidden gem at LEDDA and I hope many of you jump on the bandwagon! Love love love. A million out of 10.
