DIY Terrarium Kit – Self-Sustaining Closed Ecosystem with Live Plants

I still like the concept behind this product, but the experience fell short. The packaging is nothing like what's shown in the promotional videos – everything arrived in a plain brown shipping box with no custom presentation. If you're buying this as a gift, plan on unboxing and wrapping it yourself. The included tools are also noticeably different from the product photos; cheap-looking plastic versions rather than what's advertised. Overall, it's a decent terrarium kit for a beginner, but the gap between what's marketed and what's delivered is disappointing.

6 months ago I bought a terrarium kit and loved making it. The kit was great and all inclusive. Even all the necessary tools were included! I not only thoroughly enjoyed making it but I have been admiring and enjoying it every day since. I shared the experience with my grown children and my 5 grandchildren. They were so enthusiastic that I bought 7 additional kits so that my children and spouses as well as each grandchild could build their own! We built them all together over the Thanksgiving holiday and it was a smashing success!! Each person from ages 8 to 52 had a ball and loved putting together their own personal creation. Now everyone has returned home with their individual terrariums to enjoy! They will serve as a reminder of a wonderful holiday that the family shared!! Charly was exceptionally helpful.
