Some foods are good, some are delicious… and some quietly open a door to memory and love. The cranberry walnut roll I ordered did exactly that. From the first bite, it took me straight back to my family kitchen — to my Nan, to my dad, to the holidays and ordinary days that were made special by hands that cooked with care and intention. The balance of tart cranberry and toasted walnut, the gentle sweetness, the soft, tender crumb… it wasn’t just perfectly made, it was familiar in the most beautiful way. The kind of familiar that makes your chest ache just a little because it reminds you of people you love. My Nan used to bake like this. My dad loved flavors just like these. Thank you for creating something that didn’t just feed me, but connected me to my roots, my family, and a part of myself I didn’t even realize I missed so deeply. Ingredients tasted fresh and home made. The cranberries provided a tartness to the flavor. We never thought the flavor of the original Kolachi roll could be better…but this was a new twist…and a roll worth trying!
