I don't typically provide reviews but I'm doing so because I'm so thrilled with the craftsmanship. I had an old messenger bag with one-of-a-kind artwork that was starting to disintegrate after ~15 years and it was time to replace it, and to save the artwork. I also wanted something of good quality and to pay someone appropriately to ply their trade. I support artists, artisans, local companies, etc. where and as I can. I asked for a few alterations to the standard bag for my needs and really preferred the style of it to some of the larger bags, and Demerese was incredibly accommodating. I was so accustomed to not having internal compartments in my old bag I didn't think to really ask about the interior or plan it. What I got was better than anything I would have requested and just so happens to fit everything I carry perfectly. I'm going to assume they're clairvoyant. More importantly I can easily see everything in the bag, especially with the lighter coloured interior compared to my old bag. Having ADHD giving me limited working memory and object permanence issues, not having to waste an inordinate amount of mental energy trying to see if I brought all my diabetes supplies, work security card, etc. is just fantastic. I didn't really notice how much effort I was wasting on that with my old bag. These things add up for me in a day and it's simply one less bit of friction/hurdle to get over. The bag is deceptively light, it looks like it's going to weigh a lot and be heavy but it's the perfect weight. It's very comfortable to carry around, and it's a bag I'll be using nearly every day of the week. She happened to have a new style of buckle to try out and I liked the look of it when she offered it. So far I quite like it. It's very easy to use one-handed, it fits the bag style perfectly, and the way she did the strap allows the flap to be adjusted so I could put slightly larger than normal items in it and still secure the cover. The bag is solid, the layout is thoughtful, and, most importantly, useful. I *really* love the colour, I've had a couple of compliments on it already. I'm not sure what other platitudes I can heap into this review, I really am just that happy with the result.
