I'm pretty impressed with these plates, especially for the cost. At the end of the day weight is weight, but I treated myself to two of these competition plates along with the regular bumper plates and they're pretty solid! No strange odor, reasonably well constructed, there's a few very small imperfections here and there but let's be honest, it's not meant to be treated like glass.
