Viva La Musica Diamond Violin Shoulder Rest Dark

Unique, functional, excellent quality

This chinrest is unique in that it allows you to rotate the rest closer to the neck & shoulder and higher up on the chest. This provides me a lot of support that I don't get when the shoulder rest is further out on my shoulder and further down on my chest. Because of the rotation, the feet remain up on the widest part of the lower bout so as to remain firmly attached. Also, I don't' have to raise the lower foot as high because it is higher up on my chest where the gap is more narrow. Lastly, the adjustments allow for the rest to become very thin at the high end up on my shoulder. This allows me to get the fiddle in on my collarbone where I feel it vibrate much better. The feet grip well, the wood is really pretty. Nice & light.

Good quality shoulder rest

For what this shoulder rest is it is really impressive. It is very adjustable and comfortable. I had to get the extra long feet for it and that has so far done wonders on my playing. This one is not terribly expensive either. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a high quality shoulder rest

Attractive, good shoulder rest

This and the Viva flex have more degrees of freedom in adjusting to fit than any others that I know about, and they stay on better than others I’ve owned. I did have a Viva flex break, so I upgraded to the diamond in the hope that it will not break. So far it works great and it’s greater rigidity over the flex has not caused me a problem.
