It's a very good quality violin, but the strings on it were old and the outer layer was peeling away.

My daughter’s violin is beautiful and exactly what she has wanted. The A string was stripping right after we received her instrument. I contacted Shar Music customer service and they mailed us a complete new set of strings the next day.
