Evah Pirazzi Gold Violin String Silver

This G string sounds beautiful on my violin, and has a clear warm sound with a lot of resonance. They did have a metallic sound for the first couple of days, before they broke in, but that went away fairly quickly. I had PI strings before, which tended to be fuzzy and unfocused, so these Evah Pirazzi strings have improved the sound of my instrument. Even my vibrato feels and sounds better, and the overall tone has much more depth. These strings make playing the violin very enjoyable!

My fav strings but they’re pricey they die after a few weeks

I can’t overstate the brilliance, power and stability of pirastro gold strings - and I prefer the cheaper alternatives (silver G, steel E, vs the Gold G and Platinum E which are a waste of money) but their resonance and brilliance starts fading after 3-4 weeks of playing (I mean I play like 5+ hours a day often). So if you’re a pro who is making a comfortable living, these are great strings. If money is an issue, opt for dominants
