It gives a consistent, lovely tone across all strings. My only objection is that it audibly clicks when you put it on and take it off.

Initially a little baffing
Directions were not clear about how to 'install' this tiny and ingenious little mute. In fact, the directions in the package suggested it be placed between the 'G' and "D' string. Not sure what universe they are operating in, but that's just wrong. Once I slipped it on, I really enjoyed its simplicity and convenience. Someone needs to correct the directions, though!
