Guaiac Wood
I love the way this earthy oil works in my formulations

Guiac wood
This is a lovely alternative to birch tar if you want more subtle smokey wood quality. Excellent if you want to add smoke to a lighter fragrance without overpowering it. This comes as a semi solid. You'll want to set the bottle in a hot water bath to liquify the contents before using a pipette to take some out to be added to a blend.

Rich, Dark, and Delightful
While I've yet to use it in a composition, I love this material. The best way I can describe it as a combination of the loveliest charcoal you've ever smelled, fresh roast coffee, and rich dark forest soils full of char - or a dark old temple shrine, blackened with age and lingering smoke. I keep a small bottle of it on my desk to smell whenever I please, I like it that much. As a small note, if you live in a cold climate the 50% TEC will still solidify at temperatures below 20C or so. It reliquefies easily with body heat or a few minutes in a warm water bath, though, so it's not a big problem - but if you're electing for the 50% dilution rather than pure so that you don't have to faff about with solidifying materials, it might be something to be aware of. That aside: Gorgeous material, and exactly as described.
