They work well as long as you use a bore guide. If you can’t get a bore guide through the action or don’t have one available the patches fall off to the side of the jag and wad up aim side only touching about half the bore. The patches could be a little thicker. I used two patches to make it tight enough in the bore to get well into the gives. The brushes are great! And the jags work well for bolt actions with a bore guide. For my lever actions it was difficult to keep the patches wrapped around the jag and it didn’t cover the entire bore.
