The muzzle portion of the holster is too long

The muzzle portion of the holster is a half-inch longer than necessary for my Sig p365xl, which matters in your small EDC bags. Why such a tight fit for no reason at all? It's not like this improves safety in any way. I'd also prefer the holster covered more of the trigger guard. The entire purpose of a holster is safety, and I just feel this could do a better job when it comes to the trigger. Covering the trigger but not the entire trigger guard seems to be fairly common in the holster industry and I just don't understand why. It's what, another 1/4-1/2 inch of Kydex? Quality otherwise meets expectations, and I love the fun topo pattern of the Kydex.
