Aluminum emulsion scoop coater

The green plastic end caps do not line up with the aluminum on one side causing the emulsion to apply unevenly. The end caps are labeled A and B, with the A side being the worse. The green endcap marked A sticks out a couple millimeters past the sharp side of the aluminum scoop and not far enough on the more round side. The green cap marked B sticks out too far on the round side of the aluminum scoop but not as bad as the cap marked A. The B cap matches pretty well with the sharp side of the scoop so they did okay on one out of four I guess. There is also a slight gap between where the aluminum scoop ends and where the end caps start so a little emulsion ridge is formed as you scoop. This isn't the worst thing but worth mentioning I guess. The nice thing; at least in this case, is that the foam glue used to hold the caps on was weak enough that I could just pull the A end off without breaking or bending the plastic. I may trim the scoop down to the exact size I want for my mini screens and 3d print new ends that actually line up with the aluminum scoop.
