Discovered Northwest Guitars recently during my first ever guitar kit build. I needed a few bites and pieces along the way and I was so lucky to find Northwest. Clearly run by enthusiasts, I was lucky enough to benefit from the experience of and advice from Kevin who was absolutely brilliant. I was very unsure about prepping and painting, which he really helped me with, offering detailed instructions for, say, preparing the alder body, then staining and finishing, This was invaluable and helped me avoid many pitfalls, which only seem obvious when you know about them. And when I made mistakes, which I did, more than once, or twice… He was extremely patient and helped me pull the build back from the brink more than once. And I’ve now got a pretty presentable, decent sounding `Tele-a-like. It’s also worth saying that I didn’t even spend that much money with Northwest, but Kevin was still happy to help and point me in the right direction if they didn’t have what I needed. It’s rare nowadays to find a company that really know what they're talking about and really care about what they’re doing. Gold standard customer service.

Excellent finish

Very easy to use and to clean brushes etc up after. Fantastic finish especially after a couple of coats.
