Ernie Ball Regular Slinky

56 years and counting with Ernie Ball strings.

Having started my guitar journey around 1964, when guitar strings in the UK were A - very expensive and B only one gauge available - ie very heavy; I was another newbie player experimenting with a mix of banjo and guitar strings. That is until the day in the late 60’s when the guy in the music store suggested Ernie Ball string sets. I don’t remember exactly which set I bought then, but on the whole — I have used Ernie Ball Slinky sets ever since. Regular Slinky have been my preferred gauge on my main instrument for over 40 years. Personally I think they provide a superb sound - while holding their tuning remarkably well, no matter how hard I bend them or abuse the tremolo.
