Chevrolet Equinox Center Console Safe: 2018 - 2024

Good, not great, but good.

This is my third vehicle to have a ConsoleVault installed in it. They are great products but this one for my Equinox I was not too impressed with. Firstly, the door hinges opposite of the center console lid and so I almost have to open it backwards while twisting my body around where as with my other ConsoleVaults I could open them while driving if need be. Also my other two ConsoleVaults used existing vehicle factory bolt holes to secure the vault down. This one you drill screws directly into the sides of the factory plastic console. Doesn’t seem as secure, but I guess it’s not their fault if the car manufacturer didn’t provide bolt holes. I would still recommend and purchase in the future.

Incredibly solid vault!!

I have mine in a 2022 Chevy Equinox. not the biggest center console so I was worried that the actual space inside would be so small. Boy was I wrong. It is plenty big and roomy for what I want to carry. It literally took me 9 minutes to install. Yes, I timed it. Also a pleasant surprise was the fact that you still have access to the two usb ports inside the console. also loving the elite digital lock. easy to use and works great. I would absolutely recommend Console Vault.
