Firearm fits perfectly!
This is my first IWB holster so I can't compare wearing CYA Supply Company's IWB holster for its relative comfort. For $41 delivered I am overall very pleased and give it a five star rating, with only a couple of caveats to consider about comfort. The Kydex holster fits the firearm perfectly. The firearm at the end of its travel into the holster snaps into a retaining mechanism, and there is an adjustable tension screw so the "pull" you feel drawing can be adjusted to your liking. This holster is lightweight and strong - it will last for many years. I consider this holster a very good value for the money. The caveats...human bodies come in all shapes and sizes. I'm an average size right-handed male so my IWB holster rides on my right hip. I discovered a few pressure points over the first five days of wearing the holster for hours, both standing and sitting, at my 3 through 4 o'clock carry positions. I've settled on the 3:30 carry position after making three easy modifications to snip off (and quickly and easily file to make smooth) small amounts of Kydex which, for me, were responsible for identifiable pressure points of discomfort. After making these minor alterations my CYA holster is now much more comfortable and can be the Every Day Carry IWB holster for my Ruger Security 380. The tool I used to snip away the holster edge areas that bothered me was a diagonal side cutter electrical wire snipper. I think various snipper tools allowing for some leverage would work. A file easily blended and smoothed the snipped areas. The modified holster looks like it came from the factory in terms of its overall fit and finish - this is a good-looking holster. The outside of the holster - for a right-handed person - which touches on my body's right side is molded to the gun's left side external features, primarily allowing for a holster channel where the gun's safety ON/OFF lever slides into the holster without the lever touching the holster. This channel, and some other lesser "raised" areas (compared to a hypothetical single flat molded surface all along the body side of the holster), create small pressure areas which you may, or may not, feel. These channels weren't where I modified - it would be impossible to modify them and CYA would have to do a holster redesign for the body side for a right-handed person carrying on the right side. If you are left-handed and carrying on your left hip then this safety lever channel's raised area and potential pressure area would be away from your body and should not a comfort issue. Another solution without doing any trimming would likely be a holster pad. One previous reviewer of this specific holster for right-handed customers mentioned a pad might be desired. The majority of reviewers did not mention wanting a holster pad, or doing any minor trimming like I've done. Rather than describe in detail the areas where I snipped bits of holster material away you can compare my holster's photo with the stock photo on CYA's website. I want to reiterate I'm giving this holster, as delivered, a FIVE STAR review. While at the same time sharing with potential customers that, for me as a right-handed person, the raised safety channel does press some against me (again, it would be away from the body of a left-handed person), and that three other small areas along the edge of the holster that I found protruded a bit causing discomfort could be easily trimmed away. Easy to accomplish mods like mine if do, no action required if they don't. Why not return the holster instead of playing around with modifying it? Given that I did not possess a dedicated holster for my Ruger Security 380, and that a retention holster protecting the trigger guard is part of any handgun's "safety system", I decided that even if my minor trimming didn't alleviate the pressure points for my body enough I'd either get a holster pad - or I'd keep the holster simply for safe storage purposes. I'd buy it just for this purpose even if I knew ahead of time I couldn't ever wear it comfortably. But I can, and I'm very pleased.

IWB Holster
Holster fit the Ruger well. Had to back off the tension slightly to get it where I like it. Conceals well and is comfortable for all day carry at either the 4 o'clock or 1 o' clock. Would not hesitate to purchase another CYA product.
