This is my first set of hug studs, so there was a learning curve for getting them in. I've learned that it's easiest to hook the entire "C" of the stud around your earlobe, with the stud in the back. Then slide the pin over the piercing hole and work it through. Once in these are cute, super comfortable, and tend to stay put.
