The X-Mid 1 Solid is oriented towards use in colder conditions while being an excellent all around backpacking tent. It uses the most weight efficient, simple, and stormworthy architecture for a trekking pole shelter so that it weighs just 31 oz (890 g) while being stormworthy, user friendly, and spacious.

X Mid 1 Solid
I replaced my X-Mid 1P with the X-Mid 1 Solid (Gen 3) and am very pleased with the improvements.
I’ve only spent one night in it so far; the conditions by the lake were completely calm, and as the temperature dropped from +2°C in the evening to -2°C in the early morning, some moisture accumulated inside the tent—though, in those conditions, that would likely have happened in any tent.
For the next test, I plan to head out in windier weather and choose a campsite a bit further away from the water; I’m confident the tent will stay dry then.

Pretty great!
I have tried the third generation of this tent in the Swedish mountains, and it's been a blast! A minor gripe: The magnetic clips for the outer doors, I wish they could be slotted into something or was more sturdy somehow, because the strength of the magnet alone flaps open in the wind. Can probably work around it with some paracord.
Would also love some ideas on how to pitch it on snow. Maybe tips down with snow baskets attached?
Either way, the tent works like a dream and I'll be sticking to it for now!
