Essential Smart Station DSE5i

Great gun safe option for bedside/nightstand. Like the quiet operation of the drawer upon opening, the interior light and battery backup. For simplicity, I chose the "basic" edition - no wifi, no bluetooth. I took 1 star away due to the difficulty of changing the master passcode, configuring admin fingerprints and additional fingerprints. It took well over an hour to configure this device. Shouldn't be that difficult for an "essential/basic" device.

Great safe! Well built and looks good. Works exactly as advertised.

I have a 2023 4Runner TRD Pro rigged out for overlanding and camping. The rear cargo tray slides out and also has two power sources with a built in inverter. I use one side for my ICECO fridge. Plenty of room left to use a mounting plate for the Smart Vault DSE5i. It’s a clean and effective mount. My handguns are secure even if there was a vehicle intrusion.
