It's Cool to be Square

Pferd is pretty proud of their files, but I'll have to say they seem to work very good and if used in one direction like your supposed to do they last for quite a long time. Good stuff! Pete

First time to use square files to sharpen my chains.

I have being using round files, but wanted to start using chains sharpened with square files. Had no problem getting all the angles while filing. Took down two trees with round chain because that was on the saw. When it got dull while bucking the logs, I switched to the chain with the square filing. All I can say is WOW! It was like a swarm of hungry piranhas were eating at the tree throwing huge chunks. This file will be my go to for sharpening my chains from now on.

The file is easy to use if know what you are doing, and the reiker gauge is a dream to use.
