The King of Flow Fountain Pen

Fantastic

I was a little skeptical of this pen when I first received it, because initially, I received a nib that wouldn't work. I contacted AO2 support and Matt got back to me within a few hours with a lot of troubleshooting tips and when nothing worked I ultimately concluded that it must be a faulty nib or something, which I'm sure was just a fluke of luck, and so AO2 sent me a couple of extra nibs for free. So, tangentially, much respect to AO2 for fast and caring customer service. Now that I have a working nib in it, it works great---the nib started flowing nicely right away. Writes very well. The best thing about this pen is the design---initially I thought that the pen looked too small but it's actually the perfect size. It is a very efficient use of material; most pens have a bunch of extra plastic adding unnecessary bulk to the pen. The pen is small and simple and elegant. And mine is in ultem which means I can see the nib of the pen while the cap's closed and I enjoy that very much, it's a way to showcase the elegance of the nib. I've noticed a few tiny droplets of ink leak out into the cap from the nib (probably from putting the nib on after writing and then moving the pen), but I think that's to be expected; it's not actually leaking per se, just ink being knocked off the tip of the nib. I think this looks cool and is evidence of loving use. The ultem version is also extremely lightweight, which adds to the flowiness of it; I'm dealing with tendonitis and so trying to use as little muscle as possible while writing, so this is nice for that. Overall I'm very happy with it. :)

Powerful analog style!

Once you stop staring at it and twist the titanium cap to reveal one of the finest nibs made, the love of writing returns (or begins). It is so smooth over any paper, but loves a strong companion (their notebook was perfect). Zero mess with standard fountain cartridges. I went fine point yet find my writing bold in comparison to other fountain pens. I’m told you can put a converter in to try different inks, I’m just not into that, but good to know. Pictured is Ti, I’ve also purchased Cu. Love them.

I love the weight of this pen. Initially I thought I was given a stainless it was so heavy! I love how everywhere I use it, I get compliments. I still haven’t experimented with adding a clip because I don’t want to scratch it. It is absolutely perfect and goes everywhere with me!! The quality of this pen is extraordinary! In uncertain times, it’s good to know I have a bit of certainty and reliability in my world. Not just a simple pen to me. Thanks Matt and crew for your exquisite attention to detail!
